"Country Boy Big Letter" is a digital piece created using several layers, filters my hand designed clip art and fine art photographs. Finished with a linen texture to give it a vintage postcard feel. I have spent over half my life as a country girl and the other living the city life. If I had to pick it would take me forever to choose which is a better lifestyle. So drawing from my beautiful country roots I created this piece for those that are die-hard country. In this image I feature a sweet little country boy but for those more rugged boys I have this same image without the silhouette. Photographs range in dates of 2015-2018.
About Colleen Cornelius
Born in Holmen, Wisconsin, Colleen Cornelius? work draws inspiration from her early childhood experiences growing up in a rural town. A one room general store with creaky wooden floors, tire swings attached by frayed rope to oak trees, and pale gold hay bales laid across contrasting green pastures are all a thing of the past to Colleens once cozy hometown. These days the town has grown almost ten-fold, and the old general store has since become a distant memory. Today, Colleen is focused on capturing contrasting images of nature and Americana that invoke a sense of nostalgia from living on the farm belt to the industrial growth of cities that have created beautiful cityscapes.
