“Oliver The Otter's Christmas” Oliver is so proud of his decorating this year. He did it all by itself (well almost.) He is so excited that it is snowing tonight and has all fingers and toes crossed that school is canceled in the morning. He is looking forward to his first sledding adventure this year!
Christmas is such a special time of year for the Otter family. Each year they take a trip North to their cabin in Lake Tahoe to enjoy the snow. Their built in insulation is perfect for the winter chill.
Oliver is an original character created by a Colleen Cornelius. Using original sketches and digital art she creates a whimsical scene for this little otter.

Born in Holmen, Wisconsin, Colleen Cornelius? work draws inspiration from her early childhood experiences growing up in a rural town. A one room general store with creaky wooden floors, tire swings attached by frayed rope to oak trees, and pale gold hay bales laid across contrasting green pastures are all a thing of the past to Colleens once cozy hometown. These days the town has grown almost ten-fold, and the old general store has since become a distant memory. Today, Colleen is focused on capturing contrasting images of nature and Americana that invoke a sense of nostalgia from living on the farm belt to the industrial growth of cities that have created beautiful cityscapes.
